In this video, we’re going to show you how to apply for a return at Sephora. Whether you purchased items in-store or online, this step-by-step guide will help you understand the return process and ensure you get your refund or store credit efficiently.

First, to qualify for a full refund, Sephora requires that products be new or gently used and returned within 30 days of purchase. Items returned after 30 days and up to 60 days may be eligible for store credit. Make sure you have a proof of purchase, such as a receipt, order confirmation email, or Beauty Insider account lookup.

There are two main methods for returning items. The fastest is in-store returns. Visit any freestanding Sephora location, bring your items along with your proof of purchase, and speak with a staff member to process your return immediately.

The second method is by mail, which is available for online purchases only. Go to your order history in the Sephora app or website, select the items you want to return, and click Start a Return. Print the prepaid shipping label, securely package the items in their original box, and drop them off at a FedEx location. Note that returns by mail can take up to 30 days to process.
